I hope you're keeping well, and warm.
I wanted to discuss CBD & Women's Health, there's several articles from prominent sources regarding this topic. I will post some links to articles I think are beneficial for your knowledge, if you're not already aware that is.
CBD & Women's Health
Article/Slideshow from WebMD : All About CBD Oil
Article from Women'sHealth : What is CBD oil & is it really good for you?
Article from Healthywomen : CBD for Women, What are Women using CBD For?
Article from Joy Organics : The Ultimate Guide to using CBD for your Period.
Article from Johns Hopkins Medicine : What is CBD and what are its Health Benefits?
Regarding the above Articles, I would Highly recommend the article from Johns Hopkins Medicine, as it's based from studies from Healthy Adults and they're conducting Long-Term Research on people using CBD products for Medicinal purposes. Excerpt from articles Q & A,
"Q. Can you tell us a little about the initial findings from the observational study?
A. We found that, among individuals with a variety of health problems such as epilepsy, chronic pain, autism, anxiety and other serious health conditions, those who were using a cannabis product — people predominantly used CBD products — reported a better quality of life and satisfaction with health, pain, sleep and mood compared with those who were not using cannabis products. When those who were not using cannabis at the time of our first survey later started using cannabis, they showed improvements in those same health measures that mirrored the differences between the cannabis users and nonusers in the beginning." article written by Marc Shapiro, Interviewed Ryan Vandrey, Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
As I was saying previously, several reputable sources have discussed, and are currently discussing the health benefits for both Men and Women. This article is going to be focused on Women's Health more than Men's Health. Men's Health will be discussed in an oncoming article, but guys you still might be interested in what's on here, as it could help you during those difficult times.
1 of the most common pains Women have to deal with is, Men :) but I won't get into that " <--just in case, my attempt at some humour", another common pain is your menstrual cycles.
The symptoms and severity varies with the individual, symptoms can start before, and become more severe during, commonly referred to as period pain. Women, you've been told from multiple sources ranging from your mom, siblings, other family, friends, etc, about what works to help relieve these symptoms and effects, but until you've tried it yourself you don't know if it works for you. These people are only telling you what has worked for them, and are recommending you to try it for yourself. You'll know what helps you, once you've tried it, I'm just trying to make sure you're also aware of the various recommendations about CBD helping relieve some of these symptoms, and effects. Somethings I've noticed over the years that's not commonly recommended, is that lots of Women are having an energy drink to help relieve some of the period pains. This is done for various reasons. Another method is a multivitamin drink, again this is done for various reasons. No matter what method you choose to relieve your symptoms, when trying a new way, Always proceed cautiously and with an open mind. IF you're considering CBD to help with some of the period pains or symptoms, look for High or Premium Quality CBD, Pay Attention to Lab Reports of Products "as some don't match the labels", recommendations and reviews from reputable and trusted sources, and finally yourself, you will be the ultimate judge if it helps you.
I'm also recommending you to read the article from Joy Smith about "The Ultimate Guide to Using CBD for Your Period" as it's usually better to hear from a Woman's perspective about these matters, rather than a man. :)
Finally some product recommendations that I think could help with Menstrual symptoms, and Period Pains.
First the CBD oil by Joy Organics, as it's versatile for use. You can use it straight as is, you can mix it into drinks, food, topical creams or salves, and more. It's available in 4 strengths, and 4 flavours. The Flavours are Natural/Unflavoured, Tranquil Mint, Summer Lemon, and Orange Bliss, with so much choice it should help give options that you prefer.
The next recommendation is something you don't normally hear about often, CBD Bath Bombs by Joy Organics. These are great to help relax and try to forget your troubles for a bit of time, they will also help relax sore muscles and joints, warm baths are recommended to help soothe some period pains, so why not consider mixing in some CBD, with Lavender oil, coconut oil, cocoa seed butter, it'll help soften your skin, and leave you smelling lovely, without using synthetic scents, it will also help you relax for a more restful sleep. Each box of the CBD Bath Bombs comes with 4 individual Bath Bombs.
Since I touched on this briefly earlier regarding Energy and Multivitamin Drinks, the next recommendation is the CBD Energy Drink Mix by Joy. It's sugar free, and is packed with multivitamins such as, Vitamins, A, B2, B6, B12, C, D, E, K, and more, to help replenish your body, the box comes with 5 sachets of the Energy Drink Mix, each sachet has 12.5 mg of CBD "Lab Reports show, 14.7mg of CBD" That's more CBD than what's on the label, usually it's the other way around, more often than not especially in the UK and EU, product labels don't match the lab reports and are lower than stated on the labels. With 75mg of Caffeine, it'll give you a Boost, and it's nice hot or cold.
The last Recommendation I suggest are the CBD Softgels. They come in 2 formulas, Everyday, and Curcumin formulas. The Curcumin is recommended for extra relief for joint aches. They're not Vegetarian, in case this is an issue, consider the CBD Vegan Gummies as an alternative. The Softgels are great value, as the nanoemulsion technology in the CBD Softgel capsules means that your body will absorb more of the CBD, than other methods.
I thank you for your time in reading, and I hope this helps give you some ideas of ways to boost your Health and manage some of the Period Pains.
Best wishes to you and your families.
